Weekly Match Summary Reports

GROUP A

Sunday 7/31/2011 QCC vs SCC at Lower Garden Acres, Longmont - Reported by Arun Santhanakrishnan(SCC)

QCC won the toss and elected to bat. QCC was losing wickets at one end regularly but Bharath was steady in the other. QCC scored 35/4 in the first 10 overs and played well in the next ten overs. Bharath and Alok had a good partnership in the middle overs.

Bharath scored 34 for QCC and Shruti took 2 wickets for SCC.

When SCC started their innings, they lost quick wickets and they were 30/4 in the first 10 overs. Babu and vamsi had a decent partnership and after that Rajesh and Vamsi had one more that took SCC to victory.

Vamsi was MOM for scoring 25 runs.


Sunday 7/31/2011 CAS vs WyoCC at Lower Garden Acres, Longmont - Reported by Amit Thakar(WyoCC)

WYOCC won the toss and choose to field.CAS started well scoring 15 runs in first four over without losing any wickets.But after that they lost wickets at regular interval.

Ramprasad made 14 and Avinash tried to stabilize. Some good bowling performance by wyocc bowlers kept CAS under control and allowed on 54 run in the end. Amit for wyocc took 3 wickets, while Sameep and Anurudh claiming 2 each.

Batting 2nd WYOCC lost their openers quickly. Soon wyocc where 4 wickets down with 20 runs on board, thanks to Some excellent bowling by Suresh.Thereafter Kasun and Amit stabilized the innings and saw wyocc through.

MOM was Amit Thakar for his knock of 20 runs (Not out) and 3 wickets for 4 runs.


Sunday 7/31/2011 Anchors vs Orchards at Country Field Park, Erie - Reported by Das Thumma(Anchors)

Orchards won the toss and choose to field.Batting 1st Anchors lost 3 wickets in 5 overs for 19 runs But Das (23) and Ravi (11) took the score to 50 runs in 9 overs and both got out, Vijay played very well got 24 runs for Anchors.Anchors made 98/10 in 19 overs. Imran took 3 wickets,Siddardh took 2 wickets and Kuldep took 2 wickets for Orchards

Batting 2nd Orchards lost 3 wickets for 7 runs and 6 wickets for 28 runs but Manas(35) played very well for Orchards and took the score to 76 all out.
Great bowling from Das 3 overs 3 wickets for 7 runs and Ravi 3 overs 3 wickets for 7 runs.

Das Thumma Awarded MOM for 23runs in 18 balls and 3 overs 7 runs 3 wickets.

CAS gave walkover to SCC.

Sunday 8/7/2011 Buffs vs Challengers at Lower Garden Acres, Longmont - Reported by Mangesh Sahasrabudhe(Challengers)

Buffs won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Challengers started their inning and scored 133 before getting all out in 20th over.
Prasad was the top scorer with 32 runs while Venkat made 30. From Buffs, Shyam and Shravan took 3 wickets each.

In reply Buffs were bowled out for 62 in 13.3 overs. Sanjeev was the most successful bowler for Challengers who picked 4 wickets while Vinay claimed 3. Mayuresh was the top scorer for Buffs who made 29 runs.

Sanjeev was declared MOM for his amazing bowling analysis of 3.3-1-4-4


Sunday 8/7/2011 QCC vs WyoCC at Lower Garden Acres, Longmont - Reported by Amit Thakar(WyoCC)

QCC won the toss and choose to field WYOCC lost their openers early due to some disciplined bowling by Ashish. Saikat and Amit stabilized the innings and added 45 runs. Saikat made 29 runs. Amit (31) and
Nishant(19) played well to take the WYocc over 100. Rajiv bowled an excellent spell to restrict WYOCC to 121. Rajiv took 4 wickets for 18 runs. Ashish ended up with 3 wickets.

Batting 2nd QCC could only make 33 thanks to some disciplined bowling by WYOCC bowlers.
Amit, Nishant, Anurudh, and Saikat claimed 2 wickets each.

Saikat Mukherjee (29 runs and 2 wickets for 4 runs) and Amit Thakar (31 runs and 2wickets for 2 runs) were declared joint MOM.


GROUP B

Sunday 8/6/2011 Syntel Eleven vs Denver Chargers at Country Field Park, Erie - Reported by Satyanarayana Kolli(Denver Chargers)

Syntel Eleven team won the toss and elected to bat first made 149 for 7 in 20.0 overs.

Denver Chargers chased 150 successfully with lost of 9 wickets.

Man of the Match was awarded to Ranvir Singh of Denver Chargers for his magnificant half-century in 30 balls and taking 2 crucial wickets.

Sunday 8/7/2011 Crazy Cricketers vs Spartans at Memorial Park, Colorado Springs - Reported by Babu(Crazy Cricketers)

Spartans won the toss and elected to field.Spartans bowled a very tight spell to restrict Crazy Cricketers to a low score in the initial 10 overs but later Crazy Cricketers aggressive batting took them to 91 in 20 overs.

Spartans started of well and were over the required run rate, but some high discipline bowling by Crazy Cricketers restricted Spartans to 67 all out in 19 overs.

Babu of Crazy Cricketers was awarded the Man of the Match for his contributions towards batting and bowling.

GROUP B

Sunday 8/14/2011 Syntel Eleven vs Colorado Amigos at Cornerstone Park, Littleton - Reported by Arulraj(Colorado Amigos)

Syntel Eleven won the toss and elected to bowl first. Syntel openers gave good start and played sensibly without losing wicket in powerplay overs, but Amigos came back by taking quick wickets and restricted Syntel Eleven to 88 for all out in 20 overs.

With target of 89, Colorado Amigos opened their batting and lost four wickets with the score of 20 runs, and then Dinesh and Sridhar played slowly and sensibly and reached the target in 15 overs.

Dinesh Kumar (Colorado Amigos) played superbly and scored 32 Runs NOT OUT including 3 huge sixers.

Sunday 8/14/2011 Denver Indians vs Crazy Cricketers at Cornerstone Park, Littleton - Reported by Vikas Chintha(Denver Indians)

GROUP A

Sunday 8/20/2011 Orchards vs SCC at Country Field Park, Erie - Reported by Arun Santhanakrishnan(SCC)

SCC won the toss and elected to bat first. Orchards started off well by taking the first wicket in the first ball but after that Vissu and Murali had a great partnership and didn't lose any more wickets in the first ten overs. After 10 overs SCC scored 51 for 1. After Vissu got out, Rajesh and Murali had one more good partnership. In the end, couple of other players chipped in to make the total score for SCC after 20 overs to 131 for 8 wickets. Kuldeep and Anand bowled well for Orchards and got two wickets each. Murali scored 52 and Rajesh 28 for SCC.

SCC started off well by taking the wicket of Jalaj in the second over. After that Boomi and Mrugesh had a decent partnership. Orchads had some steady partnership in the middle. Jalaj, Mrugesh, Mukesh and Manas contributed well for these steady partnerships. Manas played really well and throughout Orchards innings remained a big threat for SCC. The game came to the wire where Orchards required 27 in two overs. In 19th over, Orchards scored 17. Manas and Manoj played well in the end. Last over, Orchards needed 10 runs. Murali bowled well in the last over and allowed Orchards to score only 8 runs. SCC won by 1 run in the end. Manas scored 34 for Orchards. Murali and Vikram each took two wickets for SCC.

MOM was Murali from SCC.

Sunday 8/21/2011 Buffs vs Anchors at Lower Garden Acres, Longmont - Reported by Mayuresh Varerkar(Buffs)

Anchors won the toss and elected to bat. But, they were dented by early strikes from Amarjit who picked up 3 wickets in his 4 overs giving very few runs. He was the pick of the bowlers and was helped by some good catching as well. Anchors were 32 in 10 overs.

They started really well after the break. Manish doing bulk of the scoring and clearing the boundary with ease. Sudeep ensured that things were tight in the middle overs and runs were made hard to come by. Sudeep and Jigar took 2 wickets each. Murali and Harsh took 1 a piece. Anchors ended their innings with just 72 all out in less then 19 overs.
Manish was their highest scorer with 30 odd runs.

Buffs tried to make a steady start but lost both their openers in the 4th over. They were soon reduced to 4 wickets with 16 runs on the board. But, out came the batsman who had been in these situations time and again, not only for Buffs but also for FRCC;

Sudeep and Sriram pierced the field and took some smart singles. But, as soon as Buffs were starting to get closer Sudeep fell. The score was 29 runs in 10 overs needing 44 to win of the last 10. Harsh was hit on the head by a bouncer and had to be retired hurt. Sameed went in to join Akella who picked his bowler and score 13 runs of the 13th
over. That eased the pressure and Sameed and Akki scored 1 more massive ones before Sriram flicked a ball to the square leg boundary to complete a comprehensive win with almost 3 overs and 4 wickets to spare.

Sriram scored 33 runs (n.o.) and was adjudged the Man of the Match for his match winning innings. Amarjit bowled really well.

Sunday 8/21/2011 QCC vs CAS at Lower Garden Acres, Longmont - Reported by Sudheer Tummala(CAS)

QCC won the toss and invited CAS for batting. CAS lost both the openers quickly and was struggling at 7/2. After that Pranay and Suresh build steady partnership and kept on rotating strike with quick singles. CAS score was 78/2 by the end of 14th over. CAS took 2nd powerplay in 15th over, they utilized it to maximum by stealing 29 runs.

Suresh was in his usual belligerent mood hitting 7 sixes on the onside. One of the hits almost cleared the ground on onside. Pranay complimented him perfectly with quick singles and odd boundaries. The pick up shot played by him on the onside was one of the best shots played in the entire game, It was sheer timing and nothing else. CAS lost suresh at 107 runs. Their partnership yielded 100 runs. After that CAS lost 3 more wickets quickly in the qwest for big hits. There were couple of big hits from vamsi and srinivas and CAS posted a competitive total of 135 in 20 overs. Pranay remained not out with 42 runs.

QCC started their chase by losing a wicket in the very first over. Gagan and Bhupinder tried to keep the situation in control with good defense. Pankaj beat Bhupinder’s defense with a good Yorker. Pankaj continued to torment QCC and took the wicket of Gagan in his 3rd over. QCC were struggling with 21/5 by the end of 8th over. After that couple of run outs took them to 60/7. Finally QCC was bundled out for 78 in 15.3 overs. QCC captain Rajeev scored 18 and was the standout player in their batting while Pankaj was outstanding from CAS side with 3 wickets leaking only 10 runs in 3 overs.

GROUP B

Sunday 8/20/2011 Colorado Amigos vs Warriors at Cornerstone Park, Littleton - Reported by Arulraj(Colorado Amigos)

Colorado Amigos won the toss and elected to bat first. Amigos lost his opener in second over with 8 runs on the board. Then Ram & Arulraj played sensibly without losing wicket in next four overs and Amigos scored 52 runs in 10 overs. Warriors came back strongly and took 3 quick wickets and bowled Colorado Amigos out in 19.3 overs with the score 109. Ramesh from Warriors side bowled well and took 3 wickets in his 4 overs. Shiv, Pramod and Sai scored some useful runs at the end for Amigos.

With target of 110 in 20 overs, Warriors opened their batting and Manish (Amigos) bowled superbly and took 3 wickets with the score of 13 runs in the board, Manohar from Warriors scored 10 runs (2 Fours). Amigos bowled with tight line and bowled Warriors out in 14.1 overs with the score 49. Manish showed good fast bowling and took 3 wickets in 3 overs with 2 maidens by conceding only 2 runs.

Jude took 4 wickets in his spell by conceding only 4 runs awarded as Man of the Match.


Sunday 8/20/2011 Denver Chargers vs Spartans at Cornerstone Park, Littleton - Reported by Gaurav Verma(Denver Chargers)

Denver chargers won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 145/4 in 20 overs.

Spartans took quick two wickets in first couple of overs. Gaurav and Vamsi made the best partnership to contribute more than 100 runs for the 3rd wicket. Both guided Denver Chargers to 145 runs at the end of 20 overs.

Spartans gave a good fight and were good till the end. Two good catches by Ranbir and Dileep turned the match in favor of Chargers. Madhu took 4 wickets for 17 runs and won the match for Chargers.

Crazy Cricketers won the toss and elected to field. Superb bowling and fielding from Crazy Cricketers restricted Denver Tigers to 60 all out in 18.3 overs. Crazy Cricketers won the match with 2 wickets to spare.

Babu of Crazy Cricketers was awarded the Man of the Match.

GROUP A

Sunday 8/27/2011 CAS vs Anchors at Lower Garden Acres, Longmont - Reported by Sudheer Tummala(CAS

Anchors won the toss and elected to bat. CAS bowlers started their bowling well finding good line and length regularly. Veda in particular looked threatening unleashing couple of unplayable outswingers. He took two wickets in his consecutive overs and it allowed CAS to build pressure on Anchors. Deepak and Manish tried to settle in but Manish was once again castled by Vamsi with a nice lifter that found the edge. Anchors score was 22/3 in 5.5 overs. Das arrived to the crease and kept the scoreboard moving with quick singles. Anchors score was 34/3 in 9 overs. After the Drinks break Vamsi beat Deepak’s defenses with a nice inswinger that took top of the offstump. After that Prabodh formed a steady partnership with Das. During this period CAS bowlers maintained tight bowling and did not provide any room for big hits. CAS had their chances of breaking the partnership but failed to latch on to them. They were couple of touch catches that were dropped. Meanwhile Das appeared to get in to the groove by hitting a six on to his favourite onside area. CAS turned to Avinash to provide the much needed break through and he duly obliged by castling Das with a delivery that kept low finding inside edge of the batsmen. He also took the wicket of Raja the very next ball which turned the tide towards CAS. Anchors score was 77/5 in 17 overs. Rajiv finished well for anchors scoring almost run a ball 15. Anchors posted a competitive total of 99 in 20 overs.

CAS lost their first wicket in the form of Ram at the score of seven in 3rd over. Srinivas was the next batsmen to get out bowled by Rajiv. CAS score was 19/2 in 5.4 overs. Avinash then formed a steady partnership with Ajay. They ran quick singles and kept constant pressure on fielders. Avinash played some superb strokes in the middle. His placement and timing were just too perfect. He played couple of big hits on the onside. CAS score was 51/3 after loosing the wicket of Ajay in 11th over. Suresh arrived to the crease and kept on rotating strike with Avinash. After getting used to the wicket Suresh bludgeoned 3 huge sixes, None of them were bad balls, its pure
improvisation. CAS chased the target in 17.1 overs. Rajiv was the standout bowler for Anchors with 2 wickets in 2 overs leaking only 8 runs.

Avinash was named man of the match for his two wickets and 39 runs.

Sunday 8/28/2011 QCC vs Challengers at Country Field Park, Erie - Reported by Mangesh Sahasrabudhe(Challengers)

Challengers won the toss, elected to bat and scored 141/7 in 20 overs. Good batting from Shankar (39), Venkat/Kari (17 each) and Manoj 14 runs.

In reply, QCC were bowled out for 79 in 15.5 overs. Mangesh and Venkat took 3 wickets each and Shankar picked 2.

Shankar was declared MOM for his 39 runs and 2 wickets.

Sunday 8/27/2011 Colorado Amigos vs Spartans at Memorial Park, Colorado Springs

Sunday 8/27/2011 Warriors vs Syntel Eleven at Memorial Park, Colorado Springs - Reported by Ravi Badam(Warriors)

Syntel Eleven won the toss and elected to bat. Warriors bowled well right from the start with excellent fielding cutting down the singles. Syntel Eleven kept losing wickets at regular intervals pushing them on the defensive. Saravanakumar and Benjamin tried to stabilize the innings in the middle, but excellent bowling by Warriors ensured
it to be a low scoring affair. Ravi and Manohar picked 3 wickets each with Ranga and Balu getting 1 wicket along with 2 runouts. Score: Syntel Eleven 48 all out in 15.5 overs with 12 extras. no boundaries.

Warriors opened their innings very well with the opening pair of Harish and Ram scoring 32 runs. Ram scored a magnificent six and Harish scored a boundary and things were moving well for Warriors. Harish got out driving a catch to the point fielder. Manohar and Praveen scored a boundary each to lead Warriors to a comfortable win in the end.

Score: Warriors 53/3 in 10.1 overs with 5 extras. boundaries 3 fours 1 six.

A superb disciplined bowling by Crazy Cricketers restricted Denver Chargers to 67 all out. Then Crazy Cricketers chased the score very easily and finished the job in 14 overs.

MoM: Upendra of Crazy Cricketers for a 5 wicket haul.

Sunday 9/11/2011 Anchors vs WyoCC at Lower Garden Acres, Longmont - Reported by Amit Thakar(WyoCC)

WYOCC won the toss and choose to Bat first.WYOCC openers started steadily and made 29 runs in 6 overs. But there after lost wickets at regular intervals. Nishant (34) and Anurud (21) helped WYOCC to reach 97 in 19.4 overs. Thumma Das and Manish Kumar took 3 wickets each while Vimal took 2 for Anchors.

Batting 2nd Anchors started aggressively scoring 19 runs in first 2 overs but lost 2 wickets in 3 over bowled by Nishant. There after Anchors slowed down and Raj and Manish tried to stabilize the innings. Anchors lost Raj in 10th over and lost wickets regularly thereafter. Manish played aggressive innings at the end and scored 37 runs hitting 2 fours and 3 sixes. Some good bowling by Amit and Nishant claiming 4 and 2 wickets respectively and great fielding helped WYOCC defend the score and win the match by 17 runs.

Both Nishant Lakhera (34 runs and 2 wickets) and Manish Kumar (37 runs and 3 wickets) were declared MOM.
