Premier League - Match Report - FRCC Vs YCC

P40 Game Report From YCC - Match Summary

It was the rescheduled match between FRCC and YCC at Longmont.

The match was played on extremely hot day - test of endurance and stamina.
YCC won the toss and asked FRCC to bat. Though FRCC lost Naveen early in the inning, Amal and Shams ensured no further loss of wickets, but at the same time scoring at fairly good run rate. YCC bowlers kept FRCC relatively under control till the first break. But the day belonged to FRCC batsmen as they played smart, aggressive cricket. Amal (58), Shams (66) and Sriram (64) scored fifties and displayed excellent batting skills. All the top order batsmen clicking, the lower middle order attacked the YCC bowling. Tej played a brilliant cameo towards the end of FRCC inning. YCC bowlers tried their best and the notable performances were 2 wickets by Naval and relatively economical bowling spell by Ramesh. FRCC scored massive 291/4 in 40 over.

With required run rate over 7 runs, YCC started on back foot losing Ramesh in the first over. Rest of the batting didn’t click for YCC and kept on losing the wickets regularly. Deepak played with great courage and determination for his 30 runs. Sriram was the pick bowler for FRCC. He bowled with tempting line and length and picked up four wickets. YCC lost the match by 189 runs.

Man of the Match - Sriram was man of the match for his well compiled 64 runs and 4 wickets.
