Altaf is a left arm pace bowler with the natural ability to swing both new & old ball with tremendous control. Before relocating to Colorado, he played for Tulsa Cricket Association (TCA) as an attack bowler & middle order batsman. He learned about Colorado Cricket League through Misbah Rehman & in 2008 joined CCL as a member of RBCC. He is a committed, aggressive and creative cricketer and really mingled in RBCC camp like we have known him for ages.

In 2008, while playing only his 5th game in CCL, Altaf steered RBCC post their first ever win against DSCC. He devastated DSCC with his bowling spell of 6.3.-2-12-5 & on August 13th featured as "Player of the Week". See Scorecard and POTW article.
He was ranked 19 out of 105 amongst "most wicket taking bowlers".

In 2009, he vice-captained RBCC team. His 9th wicket partnership with Ishan Rao played a vital role in RBCC beating CSCC & winning their first ever "Premier League Championship". See Scorecard and Match article

He was the standing Captain for RBCC in 2009 T20-KO final & lead RBCC to "T20-KO Championship". See Scorecard
