FCCC Vs CCCC Premier - Plate Round FINALS - Sunday 15-Oct-2017 at Lower Garden Acres in Longmont - Reported by Satyanarayana Pushadapu(CCCC)

FCCC was playing second P40 game on the same weekend. CCCC has been facing FCCC in the Plate Round Finals for the second time in a row. Due to the weather, the game has to start little late.

CCCC won the toss and elected to bat first. Ashish and Sandy Opened the innings for CCCC. Sandy got out early in 5th over by Ravi Sharma. Anil came on to the crease to replace Sandy. He started of fiercely and opened the bat to score quick 44 runs before the first session. Ashish played an amazing anchor role by giving strike to Anil to go for those big shots. Anil got out at 47(50). Srini went on to speed up the innings further and add some score to the board and he did the same. He accelerated when needed and scored 54(59 balls) with 2 4's and 4 6's. Later the tail end added single and double digits to the score to bring CCCC score to 220. Pick of the Batsmen were Anil 47(50 balls, 1 four, 5 sixes), Srini 54(59 balls, 2 fours, 4 sixes) & Ashish 31(43 Balls, 2 fours, 1 six). Pick of the Bowlers from FCCC was Sandeep Singh(6-1-18-1) and Naveen KP (8-0-32-2).

FCCC opened the innings with Santanu & Darshan. Both of them seemed promising at the crease by blocking the good balls and knocking of the good balls. The CCCC opening pace-bowlers, Cecil and Mansoor restricted them very well in the first spell by taking 2 wickets in first 4 overs. By end of the first session FCCC was 43/4. After losing main wickets, it was nearly impossible for FCCC to chase the target of 220. CCCC changed their routine by letting Cecil do wicket keeping. Cecil displayed a stunning performance behind the wickets to take 4 amazing catches.

Ravi Sajjan and Venkatesh Deshpande steadied the FCCC innings. They gave hope to FCCC to win this game, but they lost their battle in the second session.
It came down to Rajesh Idate and Sandeep Singh's to sail the boat to the finish line and they did justice by taking the score to 191. Rajesh scored 42 in 55 deliveries whereas Sandeep Singh played amazing innings, remaining unbeatean with good knocks and scoring 42 in 32 balls. At last, FCCC fell short by 29 runs and lost the battle, and CCCC won the Plate Round of the 2017 Premier League.

Mansoor was the pick of the bowlers for CCCC with figures of 8-0-37-3 and Rajesh Idate and Sandeep Singh are the pick of the batsmen for FCCC with 42 each.
