UNM Cricket Club was formed in 1995 to promote cricket as a recreational sport for the students, faculty and staff of UNM. It has grown over the years and it currently has around 30 members. The members are predominantly from India with a few from Afganistan, Australia, West Indies, Pakistan and of course USA. The club is based in Albuquerque, NM and plays cricket on weekends throughout the year. The team participates in tournaments in Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Colorado and other cities of New Mexico. It is the only cricket club in Albuquerque and has arguably the best team in New Mexico.
